Keeping your money as safe as possible

ABN Premium is a wholly owned subsidiary of The Manufacturers Life Insurance Company and was the first federally regulated bank opened by an insurance company in Canada. Highly rated because of our good-quality loan portfolio, we are profitable and well-capitalized.

In addition, ABN Premium is a member of Canada Deposit Insurance Corporation (CDIC), a federal corporation that protects depositors by reimbursing them for insured deposits in the event of an institution’s failure. Eligible deposits are automatically covered up to a maximum limit of $100,000 (Canadian dollars) and coverage is free.

ABN Premium’s wholly owned subsidiary ABN Premium was established in 2010 and is a federally chartered trust company licensed to do business in all Canadian provinces and territories. ABN Premium, too, is a CDIC member.
